KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI futures contract (FKLI) on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened firmer, in early trading this morning, the amid cautious sentiment in the underlying cash market.
At 9:50 am, spot month May 2014 and December 2014 rose 1.0 point each to 1,879.5 and 1,872, respectively, June 2014 added 1.5 points to 1,879 and September 2014 gained 2.0 points to 1,873.
Turnover amounted to 1,175 lots while open interest stood at 30,087 contracts.
The benchmark FBM KLCI was traded 0.28 of a point higher at 1,879.48 after 50 minutes into trading.
